Led by third-generation Damiano Federici, Cantine Federici is one of the first (and best) producers in Italy’s Roma region. Named after Damiano’s grandfather, this luscious white showcases star local grape, Malvasia Puntinata, grown in the hills outside of Rome—the same ones that supplied stone for the Colosseum.

Malvasia Puntinata is a difficult grape variety to grow, but given proper care in the vineyard, it produces vibrant, complex whites—as you’ll taste with the Federici family’s lovely example. Boasting a 98-point score from leading critic Luca Maroni, it overflows with ripe peach, citrus fruit and delicate honey characters.
