Colle Marianna Soave 2023
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.
Flavor Profile
Soave is one of Italy’s top whites, and it “deserves the kind of acclaim white Burgundy gets,” writes top critic and Master of Wine Jancis Robinson. We think you’ll agree when you taste Colle Marianna Soave.
Colle Marianna hails from local star Antonio Fattori. The Wine Advocate calls Antonio “one of the most talented winemakers in the Veneto” and says, of all his wines, “his white Soave expressions are the true standouts.”
Antonio sourced the fruit for his sophisticated Soave from vines located on the steep slopes of Monte Calvarina, an inactive volcano. Here, ancient volcanic soils impart a flinty minerality to the hand-harvested Garganega grapes. In the cellar, lees stirring and light oak aging add a rich texture and further complexity to the wine.
Look forward to vibrant aromas of apricots, white peach and lemon, underpinned by wild mint and sage. The palate is soft and rounded, with flavors of dried mango and apricot, mingled with fresh lemon and mineral hints. It makes a perfect match for grilled fish or seafood pasta dishes.
Antonio’s wines are in high demand, and we have very limited cases to share. Hurry to secure yours.
