Flavor Profile
“There is a delicacy about archetypal Margaux, and a sweet, haunting perfume, that can make it the most exquisite claret of all.”
That’s renowned writer Hugh Johnson on the glories of Margaux. But because super-high-end Bordeaux is an elite club where the best deals are made behind closed doors, it can be a challenge to find a great one for a good price.
And that’s why you have us.
Now, we simply cannot tell you the name of the top estate that’s behind this fine red. The confidentiality clause is so strict that the wine was even bottled away from the château. (That’s also why you won’t see “Grand Cru” on the label.)
What we can tell you is that L’Épiphanie de Margaux is an exceptional red from one of the most famous estates in France’s prestigious Margaux appellation. While this is not their Grand Vin (you’d have to pay over $100 for that), it is made from the same grapes, by the same team, with the same lavish no-expense-spared expertise.
Silky and hauntingly seductive, L’Épiphanie de Margaux is a classic, barrel-matured release that showcases all the hallmarks of Margaux. Look forward to classic ripe black fruit character, alongside cherry and plum, infused with subtle spice, cedar and tobacco. By all means, open a bottle now (decant it to release the full aromas and flavors). But we also suggest cellaring some and opening in a few years. The wait will be worth it.
And if all that wasn’t enough—L’Épiphanie also boasts a wealth of critical acclaim, including gold medals from several major wine competitions.
Yours to enjoy for a serious insiders-only price (if you’re quick).
