Wine Flavor Profile
Hervé's Patagonia Malbec is a big, rich red that offers up inviting aromas of violet, black cherry, and licorice spice. The palate delivers flavors of ripe plum, almost-sweet black fruit, and toasty vanilla oak. Look for a long, smooth, dark-chocolate-filled finish.

Beyond the Label

Welcome to Argentina’s remote Patagonia region.

Here at the edge of the Earth, extremely harsh conditions force vines to produce tiny, thick-skinned Malbec grapes. The resulting wine delivers serious color and flavor in the glass. Your delicious example from International Wine Challenge Winemaker of the Year 2018 Hervé Fabre has a long history of very high ratings. We’re thrilled – but not shocked – that his latest release is really wowing them on the awards circuit again.

Judges at the Argentina Wine Awards rated Hervé’s Malbec 94 points. It also scored two 92-point ratings from Master of Wine Tim Atkin and International Wine Challenge judges, who raved: “Packed with plum, toast, and mocha. Beautiful body and long finish. Crowd pleasing but genuine with richness and freshness.”

The finish on this barrel-aged beauty is smooth, chocolatey, and a mile long. It’s made for a juicy steak (but also great with mature cheeses and Hervé’s favorite: bittersweet chocolate cake).

Malbec fans, this one’s for you. Non-Malbec fans? This one’s for you too. (Trust us. It’s that good.)

Welcome to Argentina’s remote Patagonia region.
