Flavor Profile
Nina Totenberg is NPR’s award-winning legal affairs correspondent. Her decades-long coverage of the Supreme Court and all things jurisprudence has gained her widespread recognition and affection. We’re celebrating her phenomenal career with this compelling red blend.
Talented winemaker Trevor Sheehan (who’s a big star in the Napa Valley) knew that only the best grapes would make a fitting tribute to Nina Totenberg. So, he made a beeline for Lodi, “one of the top wine regions in the country,” where winemakers “have quietly started producing some of the state’s best wines” (vinepair.com). And thanks to Lodi’s fabulous 2018 vintage, Trevor had his pick of perfectly ripe, fresh grapes.
Marrying Zinfandel (Lodi’s signature red) and more, Nina Totenblend overflows with expressive blackberry, black cherry, and sweet spice aromas and flavors. Luscious and velvety-smooth, it’ll be a treat on its own or with a variety of dishes. Try oven-roasted turkey, barbecued meats, or even hearty vegetarian stews.
