Beyond the label

Named after the estate’s founder, Antonio Federici Collezione Oro is a blend of hand-harvested Montepulciano (60%) and Cesanese (40%). Aged six months in French oak, it displays ripe red berry and warm spice notes, all wrapped up in a velvety-smooth texture.

One sip and you'll understand why previous vintages have been rated 99 points by critic Luca Maroni, and why the Federici family's work has stood the test of time.

Farming since the early 1900s, the family is one of the first known wine producers in Italy's Roma region, an area that benefits from a trifecta of fertile volcanic and tufo soils, cooling breezes from the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west and protection by the Apennine Mountains to the northeast.

Cantine Federici was officially established in the 1960s, and is run today by third-generation Damiano Federici.

You probably don’t need us to tell you that the Federici family’s special-edition red is the perfect choice for a big, Italian-style feast. A ripe and fruitful, yet fresh red, it's especially good alongside a big plate of antipasto, your favorite pasta dishes or a classic Tuscan steak.
