There’s a revolution going on in Champagne. Small growers are now bottling their own Champagne (instead of selling it to the Grande Marques) – with a firm focus on quality.
Didier Chopin was way ahead of the pack. Since 1989, he’s built up three hectares of vines in the tiny hamlet of Le Paradis (literally, ‘paradise’), tending them meticulously with his wife and children. Our customers love Didier’s regular Brut Champagne, so when he offered us the final bottles of his rare 2008 Champagne, we leaped at the opportunity to share it with you.
Made from 100% Chardonnay, Didier’s Brut Millésime is an elegant taste of the glorious 2008 vintage – a year that Decanter calls “something special” and rates a perfect five stars out of five. Aged on its lees for extra richness, Millésime has a fine mousse, classic toasted brioche aromas, and creamy, orchard-fruit flavors. Perfect for special toasts, greeting guests in style, or enjoying alongside hors d’oeuvres or shellfish.
We’re proud that Didier chose to share his rare 2008 Champagne with us, but we have very few cases available. Prompt orders are highly recommended.
