Beyond the Label

Crafted by our good friend Vincent Gourdon, whose family has been in the wine world for generations, Domaine de Longuet Viognier is an exuberant lush white that exudes refreshing floral and stone fruit flavors kissed with spice.

It comes from Southern France's Pays d’Oc region, a “treasure-trove for fascinating wines and dynamic producers” according to Decanter, where fewer appellation rules mean an exciting playground for winemakers and a Mediterranean climate means excellent growing conditions for grapes. The vineyards from which this wine was sourced are especially idyllic, sitting along the banks of the Canal du Midi, where they were able to ripen to perfection with warm sun and cooling coastal breezes.

In the galss, it al adds up to a heady and memorable sip, wafting bright floral and peachy-spice aromas that lead into a palate of ripe stone fruit and honeysuckle across a fresh finish. Delicious on its own, it would also be a welcome partner for seafood, stir-fry or simply prepared chicken dishes.

“After going nearly extinct in the 1980s, it’s a thrill to see Viognier thriving again—especially in southern France.”
