Beyond the Label

Crafted by Francesco and Mario Luciani at their renowned Tuscan winery, Luciani Rosso di Montalcino is a plush, oak-aged expression of Sangiovese that offers long lasting red- and dark-fruit flavors to rival the best of Brunello. But its quality should come as no surprise, given the family's history of excellence.

A hidden gem since 1888, Cantine Luciani's tiny, 8.5-acre estate was founded generations ago, mere yards from ultra-famous Biondi Santi (whose Brunellos fetch $100+ a bottle). Since then, the family's passion for quality wine has only grown...and so, too, has their list of awards, acclaim and praise from both critics and our customers.

For this bottling, the Lucianis hand harvested Sangiovese from the family’s vineyards and aged the wine 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels. Look forward to elegant cherry, cinnamon and licorice notes, plus a balance and freshness that make this fine red an ideal choice for any feast.

Rosso di Montalcino is a true Tuscan specialty and this is one of the most special in our cellar. First come, first served.
