Podere Altero Bianco 2019
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Barbanera family make some of our most popular Tuscan wines – and some of our most acclaimed, too. They’ve got so many gold medals and huge 90+ point scores, we’ve almost lost count. And this beauty makes one more …
Young winemaking star Sofia Barbanera crafted it in honor of her great-grandfather, Altero, who founded the family winery in 1938. But Altero was more than just a founder – he inspired Sofia’s love of wine and, as she tells it, “he was never afraid to innovate … totally unrestrained by convention and traditions.”
Fitting then, that Altero’s namesake wine – which earned 98 points from leading critic Luca Maroni – features not one but four grapes, all of which ripened gorgeously thanks to the great 2019 vintage: Trebbiano, Malvasia, Moscato, and Chardonnay. Unoaked to allow all the complex, juicy fruit character to shine through, it’s guaranteed to add a real spark to your next dinner party (especially if roasted chicken or seafood hors d’oeuvres are on the menu).
You’re in for waves of golden pineapple, white grape, super-ripe lemon, and hints of white flowers. The palate is very zippy and bright, with a whistle-clean, saline-tinged finish that will have you reaching for a second glass. Secure your share today.
