Beyond the label

From the pioneering RedHeads Studio, Harmonie Rox is an exclusive, single-vineyard Chardonnay with a gold medal and an amazing story...

Back in 2004, a small band of Australian winemakers—with day jobs at some of the country’s biggest, most prestigious wineries—set up a shed where they could moonlight after hours. Free from the demands of quantity-focused shareholders, they could handcraft the wines they wanted to make, in tiny batches. And the acclaim soon followed...

“Must be tasted to be believed,” said top critic Robert Parker of Viottolo Sentiero, one of the very first RedHeads wines. “A taste of the product indicates that this operation is as serious as a heart attack,” raved Master of Wine Jancis Robinson.

These days, RedHeads work their magic in a state-of-the-art winery that’s focused on two things: quality winemaking and sustainability. This passionate team, today led by head winemaker Alex Trescowthick, has won over 200 gold medals and 11 major trophies for their wines. And then there's the multiple awards for their commitment to renewable energy and sustainability (including two Green Awards from The Drinks Business.) Quite a feat.

Alex and his team sourced the Chardonnay for Harmonie Rox from local grower Jack Bursten and his renowned vineyard in the esteemed Coonawarra region. "Since 2023 was a cooler growing season, it made for a slow ripening period which resulted in fantastic balance of acidity and pronounced fruit flavors. Jack is top-notch when it comes to Chardonnay," Alex tells us.

Fermented in part French oak, it has a deliciously creamy complexity, balanced by vibrant stone fruit and citrus flavors. Definitely the bottle to pour when grilled chicken, roasted turkey or creamy soups are on the menu.

RedHeads’ wines are always super popular with our customers, and this Chardonnay will be no exception. Hurry to claim your case.
