Beyond the label

Did you know that a rook’s feathers are particularly dense and silky? A feature too, of this smooth California red wine, crafted by the revered William Knuttel (below). Bill, as we call him, crafts many of our best-selling reds, and we’re certain Rookery Red Zinfandel will be another hit.

Sourced from lush vineyards in Lodi, the Zinfandel capital of California, the grapes used to craft Rookery Red were treated to long, sunny days and cool breezes from the nearby coast. To ensure high quality, state-of-the-art machinery was used to gently handle the fruit. Then, Bill, who’s known for ultra-premium winemaking, worked his magic to craft a juicy, black-fruited beauty.

Upon pouring Rookery Red, delightful aromas of black plum and blackberry will fill your glass. You can expect similar notes when you go for a taste—along with rich cassis and black pepper. Plus, look forward to smooth tannins leading into a lengthy, persistent finish.

Just as rooks enjoy each other’s company, Rookery Red Zin is made to share and enjoy with friends and family. Our California wine expert recommends pairing it with BBQ pork ribs, Carne Asada Clásica, prosciutto wrapped prunes and smoked gouda cheese. Order your share today.
