Villa Pani Brachetto (500ml) 2020
Flavor Profile
It’s been a while since we offered a Brachetto, Italy’s iconic sweet and gently frizzy red. Our customers have been asking when we might get another one, so we’re thrilled to introduce you to Villa Pani.
This brilliant Brachetto hails from the pioneering Cuvage estate. They specialize in sparkling and semi-sparkling wines (that’s all they make!), crafted from Italy’s native grapes like Brachetto. The estate lies in the historic town of Acqui Terme, which is in the Alessandria province of the premium Piedmont region.
Fun facts: the grape growing areas in Alessandria have been declared UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the town of Acqui Terme has natural thermal baths, which have drawn visitors since Roman times.
Head winemaker Loris Gava has over 20 years of experience. As you’d expect, he’s a real ace with bubbly—he won the Best Sparkling Aromatic Wine in the World title at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships in 2019 and 2020. And he’s really outdone himself with Villa Pani.
When you open the sleek 500ml bottle, there’s a beautiful cherry red color, followed by lovely aromas of rose petal, Turkish delight and Red Delicious apple. The palate is sweet, but not at all cloying, with a gentle frizz. The best part? Thanks to the low alcohol level (only 5.5% ABV) and the low calorie count (only 128 per serving), you can enjoy it guilt free.
This sweet, frizzy red will be a real treat to sip with brunch or your favorite desserts. Act soon to secure your share.
